Air Arts Patient Experience Awards Winners

Patient Experience Awards 1 March 2018

We are pleased to announce that we were shortlisted for 2 National Patient Experience awards through the Patient Experience Network this year and received runner up in the partnership working category, and finalist in the insight for improvement category.  The awards day took place on a very snowy 1st March in Birmingham Rep Theatre and was a great day out with the winning teams sharing their stories with everyone through 10 minute presentations.  Alongside the arts team, our patient experience team @DerbyHospitals won the team of the year, so huge congratulations to them and we are looking forward to working closely with them on our second ‘patient experience week’ for Derby Hospitals in April.

Air Arts was established in 2007 as the in-house arts programme for Derby Teaching Hospitals.  Air Arts offers a wide range of artistic and creative activities for patients, staff and visitors at The Royal Derby and London Road Community Hospitals, to provide moments of distraction from illness, aid wellbeing and improve the hospital experience for everyone.

Air Arts relies entirely on charitable donations and public funding to deliver this innovative programme of wellbeing through the arts. If you would like to find out more about what we do or support our work please contact us.
