The Healing Garden Wins “charity project of the year”

The Air Arts Healing Garden project with the End of Life Team has won ‘Charity project of the year’ a award! It is a special place where people can plant bulbs for loved ones and take time to reflect. On Saturday 28th September  over 30 people attended an event to plant bulbs and listen to words. There will be two more events taking place over the forthcoming year, the next one is planned for Easter time.

Air Arts was established in 2007 as the in-house arts programme for Derby Teaching Hospitals.  Air Arts offers a wide range of artistic and creative activities for patients, staff and visitors at The Royal Derby and London Road Community Hospitals, to provide moments of distraction from illness, aid wellbeing and improve the hospital experience for everyone.

Air Arts relies entirely on charitable donations and public funding to deliver this innovative programme of wellbeing through the arts. If you would like to find out more about what we do or support our work please contact us
