Boredom Busters

Another new project : ‘Boredom Busters’  has Artists from different creative practices working with patients in the Nightingale Macmillan Unit  to encourage self -reflection and creative skills. This month book binder and origami Artist Matt Edwards worked with patients and staff to create beautiful original books, a lovely idea for patients to fill with thoughts and memories.

Air Arts was established in 2007 as the in-house arts programme for Derby Teaching Hospitals.  Air Arts offers a wide range of artistic and creative activities for patients, staff and visitors at The Royal Derby and London Road Community Hospitals, to provide moments of distraction from illness, aid wellbeing and improve the hospital experience for everyone.

Air Arts relies entirely on charitable donations and public funding to deliver this innovative programme of wellbeing through the arts. If you would like to find out more about what we do or support our work please contact us
